Join us for an epicurean event you won’t want to miss, as Taste Slovenia returns from May 1 to 4, 2024! The island of Lošinj gathers top culinary artists during this four-day edible experience, as renowned Slovenian guest chefs and restaurants join forces with the stars of Lošinj’s Michelin-star restaurant Alfred Keller and Hotel Bellevue’s Matsunoki and Bava for an exciting wine & dine affair in Čikat Bay.
Wednesday, May 1: Taste Slovenia opens with a welcome reception and 4-course dinner at Bava exclusively prepared by Petrovče restaurant Galerija Okusov. Wines are provided by family-owned boutique winery Edi Simčič from Goriška Brda.

Thursday, May 2: The foodie affair continues with a 5-course dinner at Matsunoki, led by Chaîne des Rôtisseurs and Le Soste chef Tomaž Kavčič of Gostilna Pri Lojzetu. Wines are provided by Marjan Simčič Domaine, boasting a viticulture tradition dating back to 1860.

Friday, May 3: A 4-hands dinner follows at Boutique Hotel Alhambra’s Michelin-star restaurant Alfred Keller. The traditional family-style fare of Gostilna Rajh restaurant fuses with Alfred Keller’s own Michael Gollenz for five courses paired with Movia, a famous family-run winery that has been making wine since 1820.

Saturday, May 4: The event comes to an end back at Bava for a show cooking buffet featuring the chefs of Gostilna Rajh and Galerija Okusov, and all three wineries.
